In the pram in the garden. I can still smell the plastic and see the elasticated edging around the hood. In those days children were wrapped up and put out in the garden even in the winter because fresh air was considered good for our lungs and growth.

Watching television after John F. Kennedy's assassination - or rather walking around a chair so I could see the tv. I was two.

Right after that I remember getting the Christmas tree out of crawl space. It was converted into a basement right after that.

i think it must be when i was around 2 years old,i got this rather attractive stripey boot type slipper thing stuck down the radiator gap, remember though,i am talking the 70s!,i was distraught as it seemed to be lodged, but of course, being a feeble 2 year old,it wasnt and my mum quickly pulled it out.
the other thing i remember was sitting in the pram with my twin sister, eating stale crisps,i found down the side of the pram mattress, mmmmmmmmm, yumm!

Jelly running down my face.

Mum often tells the story of when I was very young, about 18 months, I picked up and tipped a basin of jelly over my head.

Thing, is, I've always remembered the sensation!

Hi!

I think it was my first day at school (a long, long time ago!) when a girl called Ruth had some custard creams for her 'lunch'

'Lunch' in those days meant stuff you ate during morning break!

Now I'm showing my age!! LOL!!

All I can remember is that I was really jealous! When I have custard creams (which is not that often) it always takes me back to that day!!

What's yours?

I am one of nine children. When I was 18months old my family went on vacation in the Pocono mountains. We rented a house on a lake. We essentially had a beach in our back your with a dock.

I remember standing on the dock next to my sister (she was 4yrs old) and looking down at the diaper I was wearing. I remember her telling my mom she was afraid to swim. We were watching my siblings swim in the water. I walked up behind my sister and pushed her in the water. I watched her sink because she couldn't swim and my older brother swam over to her and picked her up out of the water and placed her on the dock. She was crying. My mother was watching over us and she thought my sister had jumped in on her own.

I remember being yelled at and everyone was angry with me. The only thing I understood was that I did something really bad and I cried. It was a lot to take in at 18mths old.

That was 38 years ago.
