....on any basis. However, what if a woman was raped, and the person who raped her had aids. Obviously the child is going to have the disease as well, would you still want the mother to have the child? The child could die of the disease anyway.

I think its up to the person to decide. I'm very pro choice. Its between the woman and what ever spiritual being she believes in, and no one Else's. Personally if I got pregnant again I would have one. Because my doctor strongly recommended that I not have any more children. And he is right. Don't I owe the children I already have first? Why would I want to leave them without a mother. They are already here.

Christians often get carried away because of the commantment do not kill, however what it actually says is do not take innocent life swiftly. My thoughts are that if a person is using abortion as birth control then that qualify's as taking innocent life without enough thought. Another thing the Bible says is life is in the blood, and there is no blood until the 18th day. The situation of which you speak does not sound like that life is being taken swiftly.
So above are scriptures that can be used to debate with those who are just reacting and not responding with thought. Another thing that really bothers me is that abortion would never have come to this had the body of christ worked a lot harder to provide for these unwanted children, and the prgo mothers. Even now as laws in states change these same groups are doing nearly nothing to provide as they should.
So under well thought out circumstances, the mother is not going to be held culpable By God
Not all christians are incapable of critical thought but most are incapable of self critique resulting in growth, and I could go into why that is but check out my answers and if you agree, (I can tell you are an intelligent compassionate person) perhaps those points I make could be expressed lovingly to christians everywhere who spend money on BS and support truly deviant leaders.

AIDS isn't 100% transmittable to the baby number 1.

number 2, the amount of rape abortions is so minute, that it isn't even a blip on the radar.
Go to an impartial abortion information source for yourself, there you will find that the overwhelming causes for abortion are socio-economic reasons and convenience factors (disruption of career or school).
Abortion for these reasons is about 97% of all abortions in this country. When we have about a million a year, something wrong is going on.
Abortion is a symptom of a society who fails women and families.--
Lets not kid ourselves, it's also a symptom of not taking proper measures of self-control and prevention.... Abortion happens because women did not use birth control, did not use it consistantly or correctly, or did not insist that the man use it.
THis is the woman's body, why would she want to screw her own body up having to get a surgical procedure which goes against everything natural we are meant to be? THerefore,
I think carelessness of one's own body and life causes people to abort.

When you see that abortion can be done electively up until 7 months!!! Doesn't that make you sick? It should. If you study fetology, and abortion procedure, you wonder how in the world an abortionist can do that for a living. Do you know that a so called "fetus", or preborn infant starts to feel pain at about 20 weeks, maybe less? Do you know that you can get an elective abortion a full 2 months! after that?
SICK.
It's a disgrace. It's disgusting. It's an abomination............And most of all, it's wrong.

Pro-Life can mean different things to many people. I am pro-life meaning I don't think a child should be killed to convience the mother. However, if it is a question of the life of the mother or the child...it is always the mother. Rape...the woman did not chose to lay down and make a child ...it is her option.

definitely. the child is still meant to live. Would you kill a little boy who contracted aids just to "keep him from suffering" or something? NO. a fetus is LIVING- it feels pain, it's a person, it deserves A CHANCE. It's not just something that can be killed lightly.

I have no interest in answering your 'pro-life' question.
But, your facts are wrong. A baby born to a woman who has AIDS or has sex with a man who has AIDS will not have AIDS if given the proper treatment.
Let me repeat this...
THE BABY WILL NOT HAVE AIDS.

thank you.

Like it or not, a "person" who can not survive on it's own really is NOT a person at all.

Rape is a horrible crime and the victim should not be forced to suffer even more by giving birth to something that was not wanted in the first place! WELCOME TO AMERICA, LAND OF THE FREE!

Not knocking what you are saying, but isn't a little life better than no life at all.

Yes, God put that baby there for a reason. No matter what it's life span it will have a purpose on earth.
