What was the year the Rennisance began? What was the year of the turn of the 20th century?

Term first coined in 1550, the renaissance happened slowly occurring in different places over a period of time 1400-1600 centuries, Turn of the century period is the last year and the first year of the next. !899-1900 or 1599-1600 etc.

I will answer your second question first: - if you mean by turn of the 20th century as to when it officially began that was 1901 - if you mean the end - the last year of the 20th century was 2000. As to what year the Renaissance because that is debatable. It is usually placed to have begun around 1450 - but I would argue that it didn't really happen until 1453 when with the invention of Guttenburg's Printing press - the idea's of the Renaissance could not have been spread throughout Europe and eventually the rest of the world.
