Americans have a notorious short memory & short attention span.

And all of the debt those presidents have created is small compared to the Social Security/Medicare/Medicaid liability the government is obliged to pay; 53 trillion dollars, starting ~ 15 months from now (when the 1st baby boomer turns 62)

Incendiary political backbiting & me-firstism is part of why the gov't has put off addressing this & other very serious concerns about our situation today & why the parties can no longer see beyond their own interests. Continued blaming is not going to work; it is going to make fixing any of it even harder & more expensive.

I'd rather that the national defense actually defend us. If it costs an extra $200 Billion a year that's fine with me.

Let's eliminate the $1 Trillion Federal budget for transfer payments (that's all kinds of 'welfare'). Will the Ds go for that?
