looking for guidelines as far as how much an ase certified technician should be paid.

We start our guys at $17.50 an hour

I start my guys off at $15 per hour on flat rate. I go up from there.
This is in Gainesville Florida

well it depends on your experience and knowledge of vehicles but it really starts and $35 an hour or more. local Ford or GM dealerships (any dealership really), charge up to $80 an hour to work on peoples cars.
