Pol Pot of Cambodia.

He nearly destroyed his country's culture, almost completely murdered all intellectuals in his country (people who wore _glasses_ were murdered), and killed his own people at a rate twice as fast as the Nazis killed the jews.

If you think the stories about Soviet and North Korean gulags or Nazi death camps were bad, the Killing Fields were worse. Starvation, disease, destruction of all infrastructure, absolute control and obedience, and people living in absolute horror 24/7 went on four four years.

Unlike Rumsfeld's claim of being "greeted with flowers", the Vietnamese communists actually *were* welcomed. They did Cambodians a favour by invading and setting up a puppet government. (Considering how Vietnam has managed their own country in thirty years, it was more of a favour than most people realize.)

By comparison, Stalin murdered about 20 to 30 million people across the USSR in decades of power. He would have had (proportionally) to murder 50 million in FOUR years to equal the violence of the Khmer Rouge.

And, of course, Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge were US "allies" because they were anti-Vietnam (despite the Khmer Rouge being communists themselves). Remember, this was 1975 to 1979....

Usually people base this on the number of deaths that we directly attribute to one person. If you are an environmentalist, maybe you could argue that the lack of action on behalf of world leaders, is actually more evil because there NON ACTION is killing millions of people of the future generations.

And of course, I am sure there are many dark age and medieval historians who could tell us about leaders whose actions killed off even more than the Hitlers and Pol Pots of recent years/

Who do I think is the most evil leader? I honestly couldnt say - all of the people mentioned would surely fair, but I don't have the ability to see into men's hearts (oh god, sorry to be politically incorrect but its always men whose names are coming up here!)

Hitler, a mad man, a parano, a redneck with no education, a liar, an impotent, a jealous guy, a violent wreck, an egotist, a selfish mythomane, prone to destroy all he could not get or control. Stalin comes just after him very close, following by Pol Pot and then this megalomaniac of Napoleon. Finally if he goes on like that, Bush will be allowed into the category too.

Too many to choose an ultimate "evil" leader. The usual suspects of course are Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Idi Amin Dada, Tojo, Ghingas Khan, the Bolesheviks; The various European monarchies that pillaged, killed and plundered the "new world" or their "colonies".

Josef Stalin, killer of 80,000,000 people.

The most evil American "leader" is, of course, George W. Bush. He has wiped the dignity of America out of the perception of the world.

George W Bush due to the fact that he is screwing this country up by sending our troops to Iraq and Afghanistan for no apparent reason. Raising and lowering the gas prices and speaking of lowering gas prices in the state of KY as of yesterday (09/29/06) when filling the tanks is $1.99 (for me it was $1.96 since I had a Wal-mart card). You think it has nothing to do with the primary elections in certain states nahhh. Our great evil leader wouldn' do it to the American public, would he? Hell even his republicans counterparts hate him as well as other nations' leaders. You thought I would say Adolph Hitler.

Adolf Hitler

He was so intelligently manipulative that he convinced an entire nation that concentration camps were acceptable as a solution to a problem

Tony Blair..............and the reason is . He is so convinced he has done nothing wrong that he is either mad or bad. He has lied lied lied lied ............bent the rules and lied to cover for his mates.

His wife is a no mark wanna be and should be forced to pay back all the money she has taken from the Labour party and the tax payers.

All the people that have donated money to the Labour party and have been knighted or given some other free be should have it taken off them.

So Tony Blair is the most evil person to ever live, coz he is dangerous.
