a person called me and said that i was approved for a $3000 credit card and all i had to do was send $99.99 via western union or moneygram for a security deposit. I was told to make it out to Lafayette followed by my last name in atlanta GA. i did this and then later realized that i may have been the victim of a scam. do you have any information involving this kind of a scam or am i just being paranoid?

YES! It is a scam!
Think of it this way, they called you! You didn't call them. If they are calling you, you didn't want it in the first place.

Good luck Hon.

I don't really have information concerning this type of scam. But as a word of advice, never send money to western union to someone you don't know. I pretty sure you have been jacked. Credit card companies send your credit card and any changes related to processing are typically changed to your account.

I hope I'm wrong about being jacked, good luck!!!
