Awwwwwwwwwww.....I'm sorry your mom is instilling fear in you. Explore and seek knowledge so you can come to terms with what your mom is frightening you with.

Living in southern California, we here in San Diego experienced a horrific fire a few years ago. The cause was a hunter, who was lost and fired a shot to be rescued.

But there are many other possibilities with fires. Cigarette butts being thrown out the car window, illegal migrant camp fires, kids playing with matches or firecrackers, lightening......it can be from nature or man made.

California is a dry land....we import our water from the Colorado river.

The natural life cycle of an old-growth forest includes fire. Spontaneous combustion occurs and some of the old forest is burned down so that new growth can begin. It's very natural and part of the innate life cycle of these huge forests. The problem is that man has built homes and businesses on the edges of these forests; otherwise, there would be no concern. Tell your mother not to worry. The end is not here yet.

The fires that are going on in California are just wildfires. It's caused by heat, that's all. Wildfires are good because if a forest is polluted and inhabitable then a wildfire destroys the forest and after time everything grows back and the forest and the animals are healthier.

The fires here in California can be caused by natural phenomenon or by people and when it is really dry we have more of them. Every summer it is hot and all the grass and brush are very prone to fire, it only takes a spark to start one. You need to know that fire is nature's way to begin anew too. In fact, some seeds will not germinate until they are scarred by fire.

yes the world is ending and it is written in the bible ,but there have always been fires happening in the west. it's usually dry and not much rain, so that's what causes the fires. if it rained a little more there, fires would be down to a new low.

During the autumn season, tree leaves start dieing, and the chloroprene will turn into fuel, then anything can trigger a fire, such as people committing arsons, or a beer bottle caused by the sun ray.
