While it isn't too common ,,,, It's not unheard of either,,,,, and normal is normal for the individual ,,,, There are allot of animals that are strange to each other that will form a friendship or bonding ,,, such as your cat and dog ,,,, But I've seen dogs big and small form bonds with parrots ,, turtles and even gold fish ,,, I've seen cats form a bonding with wild Starlings or crows ,,,,,hippos with impalas ,,,,,There are all kinds of combinations ,,,,, It doesn't matter what species they are ,,,, But like I said it happens ,,,,, All that's left for you to do is just enjoy the two of them together ,,,, Also ,,, you will see examples of this same thing on these animal video shows such as the Worlds Funniest Animals ,,,,, National Geographic ,,,,,, and Animal Planet ,,,,,, What allot of people don't seem to realize is that owning a pet or pets is a privilege not a chore ,,,,, they need as much care and attention as would a child ,,,,, Hope this answers your question ,,,,,,, Take care

Yes, fortunately that is normal.

The only dogs that I know of who
are mean to cats are the ones with
retarded owners who teach the
dogs to be killers of cats.
How sad. How ignorant.

A long time ago, I had a female
Boxer and she nursed a baby kitten.
I guess the kitten thought she was
her own mother, since she had
been taken away from her mom.

I don't have any idea what the dog
thought, but she washed the kitten
and took care of it just as tho it
was her baby. So sweet.

I had the same thing before my doggie had to be put to sleep.. It is normal and particularly when they grew up together..It is so sweet to see the cat laying in between the legs of the dog when they are both sleeping

My dog and cat are the same way. I guess it all depends on the animal. I don't care if it's normal or not, I really like it that they get along, because then when we're not home, they have someone to play with.

that's truly very good to have your cat and canines play at the same time because if a cat and canines hated one yet another then your homestead might want to a mess and they could both be up all nighttime makeing various noise and also you would possibly want to get no sleep. So even understand in fairly some videos canines and cats hate one yet another would not recommend they do in genuine existence. So i imagine is well-known and strong.

Yes, this is normal for a dog or cat that has been raised with a dog/cat. I actually got a kitten when I got my scotty so they could be friends. Now that kitten is a big ol'baby tom cat who loves all our dogs and snuggles them, and the dogs that I have raised all love cats. (we have an adopted adult dog that chases cats)

If a dog is raised with cats, they tend to get along. My dog Wiley seems to think she's a cat. She sleeps with the cats and follows them around. She even hunts for mice with them. She only likes her cats though. She chases the neighbors cats.

Yeap very normal and you are very lucky! Some people have big problems if the cat and dog don't get along and some even have to rehome one before someone gets hurt.

i think it just depends on the temperament of the dog/cat some cats will be the top dog in the hose and it could be vice-verse but sometimes animals just prefer to live without the constant fighting.
so ya it is normal
