Put boxes of Kripy Kreams on the curb. It'll attract cops and cops will slow people down.

The traffic laws and the council are a joke, we have a 20 mile zone on our street and cars drive on here about 80 mph like maniacs speeding here there and everywhere, guess like everyone else in these 'slow mileage zones' we have to wait until an accident happens before they will take notice of us, you could get everyone in your area together and start a campaign against speeding drivers, walk out into the road to slow traffic down and get the local paper there to take photos and get a story, they love things like that and it could go a long way to helping your cause.

Don't know about the signs for the lamp posts, but as for reducing traffic speed try this:
"Hello Boys" Wonderbra billboards everywhere!
Or that new hair product one with Davina on it! I go past those at about two and a half miles an hour!

Get a load of broken half bricks and strew them in the road ! That will slow them down...
i get stupid car drivers doing like 70mph down my 30mph road, i'm surprised no one hasn't been splatted yet

Listen, if you start to put up your own signposts you will get into serious trouble!
What always works a charm is, write to the local press. They will embarrass the council into doing something about the problem.

Get in your car and drive around the zone at the speed you wish others to.

THIS IS DIFFICULT,BECAUSE MOTORIST REALLY DON'T TAKE MUCH NOTICE OF ANY SIGNS. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT PUTTING THESE SIGNS UP ON LAMP COLUMNS ETC.YOU WILL HAVE TO GET PERMISSION FROM THE COUNCIL. APART FROM BUYING A WHITE VEHICLE,AND GETTING IT MARKED UP TO LOOK LIKE A POLICE CAR,THAT WOULD SLOW THEM DOWN. I PUT THESE SIGNS UP - SO I DO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS RE SIGNAGE. REGARDS - BIG MICK

i saw on the news about a guy that made a fake speed camera and put it up outside his house.

stand out in street with yellow jacket on holding a hairdryer watch how fast they slow down then yes someone in my village has done this it works
