Excuse me?! NO ONE is EVER too old to recieve Christmas gifts! I'm so sorry you're missing out... I know I'm gonna get some presents this year. I'm 11 and turning 12 October 7 next week on Saturday.
I get lots of things like books, clothes, movies, art supplies, girly stuff, video games, etc. My whole family gets stuff for each other every Christmas. Yes, I also get money! :)
I really do hope your family and friends continue to give you gifts because no offense, but you're still a kid. If you want me to put it a different way, you're still a young teen that loves getting things from others, I bet.
It's good that you keep to the X-mas spirit even though you don't recieve as much stuff as before! :)

you are never ever too old for christmas .. I cant believe when you are 10 and 14 think that is too old .. I think when parents give money for christmas .. it takes away a big meaning of christmas .. I mean sometimes there is no way around it but there always has to be a present under the tree .. wow ...I could not imagine a christmas without a tree and presents under them and I am 26 and have now been teaching my kids the meaning of christmas .. not thats its all about presents .. but .. being with family and giving in any way you are able to to another who needs its or someone you love

Well you are both still children and xmas should be fun. Many people give money because you can buy whatever you want with it. I'm sure you'd probably like to spend it on something you like that something you'll never use or never where because it's neon orange or something. Christmas is not just about gifts but sharing with the people you love most. Hope you have a great xmas this year.

I love the Christmas. The whole shabang of it. I like the decorating, baking, buying of gifts, filling of stockings, being with family, and that ever so magical feel on Christmas Eve.
I love the apple cinnamon smell of my house during the holiday. I burn candles, bake all sorts of goodies, and play christmas music the whole entire month in our house! Absolutley love it.
Your never to old for Christmas.

At 14 and 10 you're too old for gifts? Doesn't giving money kind of defeat the purpose of gift-giving?

I am 42 and still get pressies off the family and I love buying pressies for everyone. My son is 23 and I still make him and his girlfriend a big selection box. Maybe I have never grown up but who cares.
I work with young people and i think myself lucky as I get xmas twice, at home and work. My Dad died just before christmas and his funeralwas christmas eve. It was very sad at first but now i know he loved christmas too and he would want us to keep the tradition going. I hopeyou get something nice off Santa this year you are still very young.....

Sure, receiveng xmas gifts are in my list of favorite things in life! But the real xmas spirit you're talking about is not in the presents. Sounds like something our grandparents would tell us,old fashioned, unreal and not up-to-date but that's the truth. Remember why we celebrate xmas and get along with your family, friends and even strangers in need. Then you'll feel the xmas spirit you are looking for.

I don't think you're ever to old to get gifts for Christmas. My husband and I still exchange gifts. Nice ones too. I will give my kids nice gifts until they have kids and then their kids will be getting the nice gifts.

I got Christmas presents from my parents until I was eighteen! Even last year, my parents bought us some useful household items. I always used a Christmas list as a chance to ask for things I couldn't buy myself. I got clothes, cosmetics, cameras, cd players, books, things like that.
