What is the best antivirus program and why? I don't really care if it costs a lot of money. Thanks.

NOD32 is excellent. It uses very little system resources, which means your computer will run faster. There is a 30 day trial version available from the eset website.

AVG as listed above. I have never know anyone who had a problem after installing AVG. Norton caused all sorts of trouble because it becomes corrupted.

I have tried several over the years and the worst for me was Norton. ( i got infected twice while running it) and the best has been mcafee..Mcafee also has privacy control, spam control, firewall etc. I have not had any problems with it and the updates are free.
