Had urine pregnancy test came out nega last week which was then 3 weeks delayed of my peiod, had 5 days of duphaston but no period came out then had transvaginal ultrasound, ruled out ectopic preg. but found small cyst on my ovary which the doctor says it will wash away by my menstrual period. I have been regular in my period since i started when i was 12, i am 37 yrs old now with 3 kids and had my tubes tied 5 yrs ago.I am sexually active up to now. I had a TVS last April this year and my ovary is clear and normal, no history of STD,how come they found one only a few months after. My question is the small cyst in my ovary can really cause a menstrual delay for that long? its been 7 1/2 weeks since my last period ..please explain...my husband told me to get a second opinion.

37? I guess maybe too soon but still a possibility-about 10 years before menopause a woman starts going through the process. Any change in period is considered a start.
THO.............my mother-in-law was 37 when my husband was born..............just about a menopause baby.
And theres my own mom who tested neg the whole time she was carrying twins.
Have the HCG test for pregnancy which will totally validate one way or the other.
No cyst and then a small one? I think thats how many things show up. First nothing then something. That makes sense. I had a sizable a cyst on my ovary with regular but painful periods. It shrunk and the painful periods stopped.
Get the HCG, take the result as gospel and if no other problem and all seems healthy, chalk it up to the beginning of menopause.
And then when the worry stops, maybe the period will begin.
Good luck and good health to you.

I'm going to agree with the menopause response. My mother is 47 and completely post-menopausal... but she started experiencing symptoms when she was 37. Check with a doctor, definitely, but it sounds like you could be experiencing the big "change of life"!

its probably menopause setting in. Get a professional opinion on this one though. It could be some other complication too.

DO WHAT YOUR HUSBAND HAS TOLD.
THE CYST GROWS.
THAT IS THE PROBLEM.
