I have visited France 3 times. The first time was in 1989. The country is gorgeous. However, at that time I found Parisians to be very rude, even the cops. Though I had a good time, I did not like the people. The next two times were very different. Even the Parisians were courteous.! In 1989, nobody would answer if I talked in English, though I knew they could speak English. The next two times, I found everybody helpful. We had rented a van in Paris and drove to Nice, about 1200 kilometers. It was a most pleasant trip. There is so much to see, so much culture. They indeed are very proud of their country. A small town near Nice, St.Vincent, was a picture postcard town. Highways are very nice. Paris (old city) has been preserved as it was 4 centuries ago. You can stay up the whole night and will always have something to see or do. The Metro system was very easy to use and is well connected to all important parts of the city. All the famous monuments are lovely and the shows are out of this world. It is a must see country.

I am an American and have travelled to France three times. I have had nothing but good experiences in France no matter what city, town or little village I travelled in. My French knowledge and speaking ability is also not that good, but I always found people to be helpful, understanding and encouraging.
All my friends warned me about "those French", but honestly, I never had any of those negative experiences which they talked about.
Vive la France!

France has always been dubbed as the Cultural Europe. Indeed, french have one of the finest finess, and style statements in the world. Their cuisine is not to be left behind. French people are die hard lovers of life. As far as my liking for france goes, i have not been fortunate enough to go there, though i have read lots about the country and its people. But I have surely practiced "french kiss" and boy, my girl friend sure likes it.

When I was 15 I traveled to Europe with my uncle. We went to 3 different countries which were Italy, Switzerland, and France. I loved France....the beauty it offered and all of the museums! Absolutely gorgeous. Now, the people....I didn't meet any who were extremely friendly but I didn't meet any that were extremely rude either.

I have been around most of the countries on the Mediterainian... If I ever return I will avoid France... rude, crude, lewd, and just downright unfriendly... rural Italy and Spain are where the best people are.
