Because they are in fact, 'interrogation techniques'.
If we had a government that would approve of torture, and we had the sort of government that would try to get torture approved in some conspiracy about interrogation techniques, then they wouldn't bring it up at all! If we had that sort of government, they'd already be torturing the assholes behind our backs!

When it comes to interrogating Islamic Fascists that are cowardly killing others in the name of Alla. I say whatever it takes. Want to call it torture, so be it. As long as when they're done spilling their guts, they get their virgins.

most people dont realize that the way the "torture bill" is worded in the US, that it can apply equally as much to US citizens and anyone can be defined as aiding enemy combatants kind of the same way anyone can be labeled a terrorist ... the way the bill is written it implies anyone who is a conspiracy theorist like the 911 truth movement, is a candidate to have their testicals squashed in a vice ... its just another little piece of legislation that gives our "little dictator" more power.

Re-read Donny Danger's answer! I'm so tired of the world whining about the torture methods of the US and UK, when they feel totally ok with beheading people in public, and all the other stuff that other countries feel is their right to do to innocent people in the name of their God!
