Can anyone recommend jazz singing masterclasses or open classes in the art of jazz singing&improv in New York?

I'm a professional singer and I'll be there 8 - 15th October and want to attend an open class or visit a college that teaches jazz singing, Julliard for example. Failing that, I'd like to find quality open mic jazz singers nights while I'm there to make the most of my week! Any ideas guys?

Columbia University is worth checking out. I don't know their class schedule, but I can say they have an amazing jazz station filled with DJ's who are very educated in jazz. Try contacting a DJ, even if Columbia isn't offering a class while your in NYC, a DJ might know where there is a class and/or a place to sing.
