he got it bleached

It started out as vitiligo, but then he started going to a dermatologist. Instead of just living with patches of "white" skin like most other people with the disease, he decided to do something about it. Since you can't really dye the "white" patches darker again, he instead bleached the darker skin to match the patches. We didn't see the in between phases because he wanted to hide his condition from the public.

He must be a pretty vain person. This condition may seem a little strange to people who are uninformed, but it's nothing to be ashamed of. You might get some weird looks, but it doesn't make a person any less desirable or anything.

I believe that because he has vitiligo and because of his dark skin, he went through the depigmentation procedure. That is possible to do - although opens up many new issues, like never being able to go out in the sun (thus his umbrella and face scarves).

For those of you who don't have it...you can't possibly know how it can emotionally effect you - and it doesn't mean you're vain if you want to find a solution for it.

I think maybe it was bleach.Cause it looks too well defined to be a skin disease.

He bleached it. He didn't want to be black anymore. Personally, I think he's a complete idiot.
