I so excited about all the powers being gained by the presidential office, especially the new torture and detainie bill signed recently.
Because when a Democrat becomes president (we all know the next one will be a Dem) he can start having republicans picked up off the street for just disagreeing with his or her policies and sent away to disappear.
What does everyone think about that?

bennett b, I'm misinformed, I think you been watching too much Fox...you know that fair and balance network.
mel t, You don't think it applies to US citizens....go ahead and think that.
abdfg, You're right, I may be ignorant and uneducated, but you better get yourself educated on this one, because the president has just gain the power to pick anyone at his discretion.
Remember, the brainwashing of the German people by the Nazi's didn't happen overnight. It took them (Nazi's) years to condition and get their people to accept what they were doing. Currently we're in our fifth year. If everything that has occured to this point was presented as soon as Bush came into office, he'd never get away with it. But slowly and a little bit at a time people have come to accept it.
