I dispise the use of answers in this way and the way these people seem incapable of listning to themselves and the drivel they speak, much less listen to views to the contrary. I try challenging them, what else helps people to see how vile and destructive this kind of thinking is?

Report ABUSE. But some of the questions, though deliberately worded to incite racist answers, are also phrased in a not too blatantly racist way. The ones that really annoy me are the ones that quote fictitious 'facts' or 'statistics' to substantiate their point of view. This has the effect of misleading the less intelligent (or perhaps children?) into believing them and their racists views. It all REALLY annoys me. And yes I am heartily sick of it. They should not only be reported for abuse they should be penalised and eventually banned if they persist.
PS The crusaders?? Who mentioned them? They never slammed anyone down. They once raped and pillaged their way through Constantinople (the eastern centre of christianity), but the only aim they ever achieved was self-enrichment of the material sort. (You see...I can't resist biting.)

I find the amount of not only questions but also answers on issues such as immigration with a racist hint quite scary!
But the scariest thing of all is, that this is reflecting the true thoughts of many people in this country. Here everything is anonymous. In public many of them would be more careful with how they express themselves.
Perhaps it would be a good idea for politicians to have a look on Yahoo Answers, so that they get a realistic idea of the problem of preconceptions and racism. Perhaps this would lead to more effective policies, or is this just a little bit too optimistic?

Yes, I am but one must try to answer them as diplomatically as possible or report them. I prefer the former of these two, because I believe in tolerance and no I am not a racist, and some questions .have this thinly disguised agenda.

Some of the questions are legitimate and some are just hate filled and the ones that are hate filled and ignorant, well that is what the flag is for, report them. It is getting really tiring seeing the same old crap, I really didn't 't realize there was this much ignorance and hatred in the world. I feel very sad for the hate filled ignorant ones of the world. I hope that some day soon they find peace. You can not be happy and have that much hatred inside of yourself. very very sad.

I couldn't believe it, the other day I asked a question wanting to know more about what the Jewish faith believes and I couldn't believe how offensive some of the answers were to a genuine question.

Sometimes their intent is satirical, in which case I don't get too riled up about it. Some of them are "borderline" but can be answered pretty straighforwardly and intelligently if you just stick to the facts and avoid getting personal. Others are just meant to be ignored!

If everyone ignored them they would go away. Unfortunately by answering them you give them a platform. You are actually making a lesser being think that he has a voice, an opinion that others want to hear.
