Has your daughter never had a cold? Strange..lol...your lucky. Anyway, my suggestion is not to use the cough mixture (my ped. and doctor said "babies under 3 years are better off fighting the cold on there own, the cough syrup doesn't help in the long run"). Anyway, my son has had a few colds, I give him tempra when he is really feeling crappy. But, putting a humidifier in the room while they sleep often helps with the cough and stuffiness. Also, try saline drops and a bulb syringe for her nose if she is having a hard time breathing through it. I hope that helped.

Mix orange juice and water and give her sippy cups (or bottles). Freeze some as ice pops with a baby plastic spoon in the middle. Steam up the bathroom by running hot water, then run a warm bath for baby and let her breathe in the steam.

Many pediatricians prefer Clairitin type cough medicines to Benadryl for infants this young. You can always call your doctor's advice nurse for help.

My 14month old has the same symptoms! Have you tried a over the counter allergy medicine? Triaminic is the best! Also if your child resists taking the syrup, you can mix it in Gatorade. If diarrhea occurs, stop any juices for a couple days, and increase more solid foods like, bananas.

Yeah, don't use the cough mixture unless the doctor prescribed it. You don't know if she is allergic to the medication or not or if it is type of medicine she needs for her symptoms.

I would give her infants tylenol that helped my daughter and they also have Vicks baby vapor rub which smells like lavender if she is having a stuffy nose at night that will help.

im no expert, but maybe try giving her a warm bath, and its getting cold outside, so keep her away from the cold. make sure she drinks lots of juice, and have her go to bed early, if that dont work call her doc. good luck!

Sit in a steamy bathroom with her. It helps to loosen everything.
Also try asperating her nose. You could also try a saline mist spray for her nose to help keep it moist and clear it out.

Try giving her lots of warm fluids, and ask her pediatrician about Concentrated Tylenol Infants' Drops Plus Cold & Cough.
