Yes it should and of course it would...
But seriously this is getting really really old, people have been trying for this since the 60's maybe earlier, and some I'm sue since it's been made illegal..... I'm sick and tired of people talking about this. No offence meant, but lets just face it that it will not be, I've just been put on a years probation and fined 800 euro for possession of less than a quarter (for non-drug people, that the smallest amount you can buy €30), might I ad that I can NEVER work or live in the US of A either....... this to me is ridiculous when the father of my friends child roams the streets of wherever he likes after putting her in hospital for nearly 3 months....... oh yeah this makes sense.....
I'm sick of fighting what is just another way of the government telling us what to do, it's kind of like taxes, they can let us buy things but only if we pay them for the privilege, they'll let us smoke cannabis legally but only if we don't buy or grow it...... our laws are absolutely ridiculous and how can we possibly revolt against things that make no sense....
I thing I'll do the sensible thing...... go to Amsterdam (and any other place the transition has been made) and ask for help..... we can't do it alone..... it's time to realise that.

Yes it should be legalised or decriminalised and it should most definately be available to people with certain illness for medicinal purposes...my husband has had MS for 13 years and without cannabis, he tremors and has terrrible painful muscle spasms. As to whether it would reduce petty crime, I am not sure what the statistics are to support that petty crime is due to people using cannabis....it is more likely to do with heroin use in a lot of areas in UK where an increase of heroin addicts must cause an increase in petty crime...particularly offences like shop lifting.

The problem with cannabis, is that there is no conclusive detection for it.
If someone is drunk behind the wheel of a car, they can be easily breathalised and then taken down to the police station for an official blood test. If someone is stoned, there is no breath test. This is the problem with cannabis. Also, if you take a blood test, cannabis stays in the bloodstream for a long time after the effects wear off. So unless there was a change in science, you cannot conclusively prove that someone is intoxicated with cannabis. Therefore, for the sake of road safety only, it should remain illegal.

i think yeh it should be, for anyone who has spent any time in amsterdam, its shows that in a controlled enviroment it can be a good thing. i would like to see the statistics that show that smoking hash leads to heroin, the person who came up with this theory obviously has never had a good bit of grass and wouldnt know any better. i dont think its a proggresive drug nor do i find it offensive if i see anyone in the street smoking it. alcohol is more of a danger for the public as there is more murders being committed under the influence of drink. how many people can be bothered murdering anyone whilst stoned,lol..... i think the law should be changed!!!

Yes, it should be legalized. I dont know about petty crime rates, but I really think it should be legal. Like in Canada. Why pick on Canada when they are so much cooler than us? heheh

WHEN SOMETHING IS LEGAL NOBODY IS BOTHERED ABOUT IT ...WHEN ITS ILLEGAL THEN EVERYONE WANTS IT ...I THINK IT SHOULD BE LEGALISED AS A TRAIL BASIS TO SEE HOW IT GOES

I've smoked it for years and it's down right criminal what they charge for it these days.
