You need to know the number of electons in each shell

K shell = 2
L shell = 8
M shell = 18

Since you only need up to 12 i'll stop there. I don't know if you require the ortbitals.

Fill the lowest shell 1st before moving to higher shells

use this formula 2(n*n)
to find how much electrons fit in a shell where n is no of shell
