My grandad passed away a few years ago, one day a lady came up to in the street and told me that he was standing by my side and that he will always be there, he is my guardian angel!

Well, quite apart from the logical argument that there is not a scrap of empirical evidence to suggest that angels are anything other than a social construct arising from a heavily anglicised interpretation of middle-eastern bronze age mythology, I would ask that you consider the question ethically;
I have heard people claim that they have an angel looking over them, that appealing to that angel helps them in all sorts of ways, from lifting their spirits when they feel down to helping them find lost car keys.
What I would then ask is why, if angels have preternatural powers of intervention,they are so prissy and mean and trivial with their usage?
where were the angels in the tsunami? In the earth quakes and wars and pandemics that afflict the globe? Why do they influence in subtle ways the lives of a chosen few and leave others to die in misery and agony? where were the angels in the holocaust? for everyone who thinks they have experienced an angelic touch in their lives there are tens of thousands left in squalor and abject misery. What sort of creatures are these?
Even if you take an exclusively christian stance on this, I have just been watching a documentary on th London Blitz. A church crypt was full of people praying for salvation and deliverance. A Nazi bomb scored a direct hit and killed them all. What angel guided that bomb?
Think about what you are trying to believe in. It is completely amoral. Please feel free to explain why angels chose one in a million or more of earth's population to aid, and what their criteria are.

Yes, I believe in angels. Both good and bad ones but mostly, being the optimistic person that I am, I prefer only concentrating on the "good" angels.

The group Alabama did a song a few years ago that expresses it best for me..... here is the chorus:

I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live
To teach us how to give
To guide us with a light of love

Remember.. the most beautiful angel is also the one who had fallen from grace..

Not so much as Angels. But Ghosts. I believe they were just apparitions, and people put their own beliefs to it.
