Yes behavior is a learned process but if a person wants to change and they are serious about it then it can be done. It doesn't matter how long a person has had behavior problems it is what is in the heart. So if you want to change go by what is in your heart and follow it, but to do so you have to remove any of the bad influences that are in your life that are there and causing you to be the way you are..

Definitely yes! Especially, when one becomes aware that the learned behavior is hurting him/her, and calls on the Higher Power for help, that is called Being Born Again and the change often happens instantaneously., and even when it is a process over time, one should be grateful to have received an answer from the Lord. Change is an integral part of our lives, and we always hope that it is for the better.

Yes, up to a point. I know a man who is a recovering alcoholic. He had drank since he was about 13, and while in the military, was drinking outlandish amounts of beer, whiskey and other alcoholic beverages. At first he was "fun" when he was drunk. But over the years, he gradually became more cynical, socially inappropriate and abrasively rude. His wife packed her bags and threatened to leave him. At this point, he "woke up" and has not had a drink since. He is now more friendly, polite, and romance-minded. He attends church regularly and is very thoughtful of others and generous. He grows roses and bird watches now and enjoys it very much. His wife is very happy with him. But every now and then, everyone can see just a glimpse of the former personality. He has learned how to control it very well, but it is buried deep inside of him. If he ever takes a drink, he will become that abrasive personality again.

I believe it is possible to change any behavior as long as you are really and truly willing to do it and you don't give up. Some behaviors take longer to over come than others depending on how long you have had this behavior. But if you put your mind to it you can do it.

If you are speaking of making changes within ones self, then yes. It is most certainly possible. But if you are trying to change someone else, give it up.
