when someone gets on my nerves i cut them off, I will make a excuse to not talk to them by saying you are really busy and have things to do.. this takes alot of patience sometimes but with patience comes growth.. try not to be hurtful as the person irratating you might not know they are irratating.. if all fails just tell the person that their behavior is really bothersome to you and if they cant cut it out you will have to cut the relationship off..

I would say nicely, "Listen, I don't want to offend you, but do you think you could try to be a little less annoying when you are around me, please. Thank you very much"

My high school English teacher used to tell me "there is a right way to say anything you want". Try using body language; roll your eyes and walk away.

If ther'es no way to tell them without raising a ruckus, try to avoid them as much as possible and perhaps they'll get the message that way.

Is this person even aware that they are annoying you? I would approach them and say i have this problem and then ask them the question[that you just posted]and then do exactly what they tell you to do.

Nope. It's best to just put some distance between the two of you, if you can. Turn on your music with headphones, and shut it all out.

It would be hard to tell someone that. I think you could just tell them, "I don't want to be rude and I want to continue being friends, but it really annoys me when you......"
