If you have the windows open.... you have to live with the dust. If you dont open your windows, and have C/H/A, you may have a hole or split in your duct work, which can be re-taped. Or depending on the age of your home, you may just need to have the air ducts cleaned.

Dust can come from any and everywhere. Is there a lot of traffic that goes by your home or a freeway close to you? If so you may need to keep your windows closed. Your carpets or drapes may need cleaning. Does your vacume cleaner bag need to be changed more often? Or does it allow dust and dirt to escape when you use it? You could get infiltration from the attic, your heater if have central heating could need the filter changed. If it is central heating you may have a big dust build up in the delivery vents and pipes. There are companies that proffessionaly clean them. You might think about putting a filtering system for your air in if none of this seems to correct your problem. Hope this may help.

Use air filters to keep dust down. Also use a bag vacuum with an exhuast filter (bagless vacs just kick up dust when you empty the bin.) Vacuum more often and use the dusting tool to pick up settled dust.
As for the air filters you need some that circulate the air (they are really just a fan with a filter behind them.) You only need the filters in rooms that have open windows. Use them only with the windows closed or the dust will just keep flowing in.

Are you sure the dust is coming from outside? Natural fibers in the home shed a lot of dust.

you are going to have to accept the dust because you will always have it. it doesn't just come from outside. it comes from your skin, your clothes, your towels, carpets, etc. it's there to stay.
