I'd go with early December. You don't want to have the stuff up so long that you are annoyed/bored with it by the time Christmas gets here. In most stores, Christmas music starts playing in November, and trust me, it drives the employees NUTS. By the time Christmas rolls around, most people working at these stores know the words to every single version of "Jingle Bell Rock." Okay, that was a tangent, but you see my point, right? So yeah, go for early December.

My best friend growing up put her tree up on December 1st.
My family did it on Christmas Eve.
After I got married, I started the day after Thanksgiving, as this was the tradition in his family.
Now I'm remarried and so far, we do things when we get a chance, but there is no set day. We're more laid back now.
We don't take the tree down on Jan 1st, like some have said here. We wait until all twelve days of Christmas have passed. One year, we even exchanged presents on that day, to celebrate as my father did when he was a boy growing up. It was fun.
Since this is my ex-husband's year to have the kids on Christmas, I think we just might do the 12th day of Christmas thing again!
As for decorating the outside, anytime after Thanksgiving where there is nice weather is a good day to do the outside decorating!

despite if it quite is a real tree, particular, definitely is only too quickly. maximum human beings do not start up putting up Christmas ornament till December 1st, after Thanksgiving. And genuine wood are at super danger for drying out, so getting a clean shrink tree and retaining it in water consistently is intense in case you have an electric powered lights furniture or advantageous properties on the tree. 2 weeks earlier Christmas is in regards to the soonest maximum human beings do the tree, yet some human beings like them in the previous. in case you employ a man made tree, you may positioned it up every time. i might truthfully wait till Thanksgiving, yet it is me, i'm an fanatic too yet i don't desire to get bored of the decorations the two, and only approximately 7 weeks is an prolonged time. If it makes you happy, do it now, yet do not use a real tree as that would desire to be particularly risky. start up deliver out the small issues. So, wait in case you may, you would be first, only provide it somewhat longer. it will be extra relaxing, some thing you may desire to watch for and you may spend the subsequent couple of weeks in anticipation.

My family always started Christmas decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving. Now that I'm on my own, I tend to spend my weekends with family and friends, so I start decorating in the evenings, usually the Monday after Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is pretty early this year, so I might not put out any "exterior" stuff til the following weekend.

Depends on whether you're talking about decorating inside or outside. Here in MN it gets cold and i've spent too much time freezing my hands while putting lights up outside our house, so I put them up in early to mid November. I refuse to turn them on until Thanksgiving night though. Inside our house, we decorate the first weekend in December. We get a real tree, and you can't put it up too early or you will have a brown fire-hazard by Christmas.

It depends on which country you live in.
But usually decorating just after thanksgiving is a good idea.
Or you could decorate for all the winter season with some variations: Halloween, thanks givings, christmas and new year.
The best is to get organized.
