good to know.. i think that because bi- racial children and bi-racial couples was such an issue before. i think gay marriage in time will be the same, where most people just learn to accept it and its no longer a big issue.

but kissable.. it might not be as easy for some people. u say go with what ur father is.. but what if ur father is white and ur mother is black.. if u have more black features wouldnt the child identify with the mother. and say o' im black.

or what if the child looked white but didnt feel so.. maybe because he or she wasnt accepted by white peers in school or whatever the situation maybe.. what then?? i think most people are bi-racial and dont even know it. for instance. im puerto rican... eruopean (spain) pple. taino indians(indiginouse pple of pr) and blacks is what makes up a PR.

it's not an issue to me, I think bi-racial people are beautiful. I knew this family who had kids that were white and phillipino, they had such beautiful kids. God bless them R.I.P.

I'm am a perfectly normal confused multiracial child with a beautiful multiracial family, my parents are both Latin, Black and White but my mother it also Native American and Asian (thats basically how everyone in my family is totally 3+ races)and it's not about Identifying with one parent or another its about learning to accept your many racial Identities and that your an other on the many forms you will fill out in your life. it only becomes a problem when one of the parents becomes to caught up in race. but there will be many times in life where the child may not feel like they fit in anywhere......I'm too black for here, to Spanish for these People..ect. I have dealt with that alot being to brown to be ... and to light to be... ect. but personally I think the entire concept of "interacialness" is beautiful. it shows the all people are making progress to becoming united and are looking beyond every ones slight aesthetic differences

I don't believe it is wrong at all. It all has to do with preference.

It is less of an issue today, but unfortunately, it is still an issue for many people, especially the families/friends of the people in the relationship. I think the only problem with dating/marrying outside of your race is the problems you will encounter yourself, and the time and energy you will have to waste defending your relationship. It's stupid, but that's just how some people are.

Being a product of a inter racial marriage, I can say I am fine. I did get teased alot when younger, I have all white skin, and the best afro in town with blue eyes, needless to say children will pick when they can.

Now my husband is puerto rican, and looks arabic, I can tell you in our family, we are black, white, latino, and PROUD. wE ARE ALL VERY DIFFERENT BY COLOR. And it's never a shock if a black, or white girlfriend or boyfriend comes to the holidays.

I think bi-racial children are usually the most beautiful people. I mean look at Halle Berry! I dont think there's anything wrong with dating outside your race. It's all about preferences.

well..i am a biracial woman. my father is black and my mother is white and native american. it's not all that big of an issue and you'd be surprised to know that i'm not all that fond of interracial dating. i dont date outside of my race, nor do any of my siblings with the exception of my oldest brother. i guess there would technically not be much considered "outside" of my race considering i am both, but i identify as black as do most biracial people/children. legally, i am black. i'm not ashamed of either, im just more comfortable with identifying as black. what i dont get is biracial people that are confused with where they belong...lol. for the most part and legally speaking, you're what your father is and if he's black...SO ARE U. lol

I don't think so. I know some very pretty biracial people. I think people with a white parent and a black parent come out with a beautiful skin color.
