i was stopped at a red light and when i went to accelerate, it sounding like a piece of metal was bending, suddenly the car is roaring and making metal on metal noises, but only when my foot is pressed on the gas, when rolling idle, there doesn't seem to be any problem...Does anyone know what that might be?

It sounds like either a broken exhaust or a bad motor mount.

I have a motor mount noise on my websitre's noise library:

You better take it to a garage. It could be a broken engine mount. Drive very softly.
