if two teams are level on points & goal difference, whichever team that score more goals will be the champions. if the goals are still equal, the head to head results between the two teams will be used to decide the outcome of the Premiership champions.

there could be a possible play-off match should the head to head result are equal between those two sides.

Total goals scored, then the result of the two games between the two teams involved.

The team with highest goals scored wins it. Both teams could have identical goal difference but with different numbers of goals scored and conceded. - If this is included in your equation then they would have a play off decider - more money for sky!

The FA do not have a documented policy on this one (due to the relatively low chance of it happening).

Other football competions involving group stages (where the lower number of teams make it more likely to occur) usually go on the results between the two teams in questions.

However some sports like cricket will use the 'pieces of paper in a hat' method.

it is then decided on most goals scored and should this be the same there would be a play off game.
