I'm on the birth control pill and normally should have got my period on either wednesday or thursday. Yesterday I got a few drops of blood and that was it. Still nothing and its never late. My husband and I dont really know what to do. Should I just wait a few more days or should I get a test to see if I could be pregnant?

You can occasionally have a "nothing" period on the pill. A pregnancy test that works on the first day of a missed period would tell you if you have the pregnancy hormone. Do the test first thing in the morning, when hormone levels (if they exist) would be highest. While it is unlikely that you are pregnant, it is not impossible. The test is a relatively simple and inexpensive way to see if you have something to be concerned about.

You could be pregnant. Since you are past your regular period time, I would get a hpt test-one that can test up to 4 days early, and see. Good luck for whatever you want.

Birth control alters your period. You can have a very mild or no period while on the pill. I doubt you are pregnant.
