i would like to play an adventure game similar to broken sword & monkey island, on the PS2.
i've done the monkey island series, discworld series, broken swords, shadow of memories.
as you can see, i like the point & click / talk to this guy / solve a puzzle / "use the rope with the ladder" type of thing. i'm not really into the 'tomb raider' action style, or ones that just end up being beat-em-ups, if you know what i mean.
these types of game are pretty rare for the PS2 - if anyone can point me in the right direction..... cheers!

resident evil game are cool with puzzling stuff but am sorry to tell you that the lara crofts are the best for puzzling, they have you really thinking sometimes for hours.

No-one has mentioned my most favourite game of all time! I absolutely love the Jak and Daxter series... i have completed the first three and found that the first one was just an introduction to the series... the second one got very good, with a hint of beat-em-up, quite a bit of racing, and a lot of adventure. The third one got more beat-em-up and adventure... This is my favourite game of all time. The graphics are good. Game play is awesome and the storyline is strong throughout... also try the psp game Daxter, a spin-off between 2 and 3. And theres JakX for the racing fans out there... Enjoy.

Omniushu is a great smauri warrior adventure game with puzzles fighting and magic etc, theres 3 or 4 in the series. Theres Manhunt, The Suffering, Obscure (which is set in a highh school and its very cool toplay!) What about the amazing SILENT HILL! All 4 are amazing! Shadow of Memories is an amzing game, I hear there was a sequel..but I am not sure!
Or if you want platform gmaes, you MUST try MEDIEVIL (yes thats spelt correctly!) Theres a sequel for that too, its an amazing game, my favourite EVER platform game, or MAXIMO, again theres a sequel too, brilliant game!!

Try the Ratchet and Clank series, these are a cross between point and click and platform games and are quite entertaining.
Also, have you purchased the most recent Broken Sword yet? I think this is called "Angel of Death" and is just out for the PS2.
HopAlso, if you can find it I quite enjoyed Largo Winch which is a point and click for the PS2 and got it for a fiver in Game as a preowned.

Hello,
To download for free Broken Sword Return of the Templars you can click here: http://bitly.com/1ub1dSJ
it's the full version, avaiable for free! very fast to install
Despite being an unofficial version, Broken Sword: The Return of the Templars got enough notoriety among the fans of the series, to the extent that their legal creators gave their full support.
I love it!

Better yet, have someone hide your PS2 somewhere dangerous (say the Amazon bason or a volcano), have them deliver you a dodgy map then go find it. It's an adventure and it will keep you fit! Just a thought...

I'm sorry but you've pretty much named all of them.. You can always play the classics on PC, like king's quest, day of the tentacle, full throttle, dig, and stuff for cheap... But for the PS2, they are pretty much nonexistent :(
