If your injury occurred within the last day or so, take a pain reliever and apply a heating pad to the area. These will allow the muscles to relax and allow the normal healing process to continue.

If you're having significant pain (7 or 8 on a scale of 10) after a few days, you may want to see your primary care provider to ensure that you don't have some serious deep injury.

I've never bruised my stomach, but my muscles in my stomach have been sore a couple times. It's not fun. I've always just been as careful as I can and just wait. It might help to take some pain medicine.

Go get an X-Ray or MRI
to make sure it's the stomach and not some other part
otherwise it's going to take time
and maybe even pain pills

Usually drinking lots and lots of water, over and over again will help sooth pains in or around the stomac.

But if the elbow hit your stomac real bad, giving you trouble while eating, you might want a scan to check if any damage was done to the tissue of your stomac..........

As long as it doesn't hurt when you breathe then time will be what you need.
