I have to do this project about Triumph and Tragedy and it has to be something that has happened in history. I want to do it on something that no one else is going to do. It also has to be original.

I would look into the Nez Perce indians campign against the U.S. Calvary, led by Chief Joseph. It is the longest running battle in American history, and considered to be one of the greatest military retreats of all time.

It is a tale filled with triumph and tragedy.

How about the story of ther founding fathers of the US, who led during the inevitable separation from England through a period that could well have seen everything fall into chaos, resulting in the triumph that is the Constitution, a document written to preserve the freedom of the common man from overreaching government, which was then followed by the tragedy of the common man leaving it to the government to read and interpret, resulting in his inevitable re-enslavement?
