ive finally given into my boyfriend and have agreed that he can have a new pet rat, the problem is we are not sure what to call him,(he is brown with a white stripe on his tummy). any ideas?

Jack (from the White Stripes)

Hershey
Those are just a few suggestions.
I have 5 living rats right now and had 8 total. 3 passed away. They are amazing animals!!!!

Here are some ideas:
Spud (he's brown, he's probably potato-sized, and it's a cute name)
Cupcake (it's a cute name, and the brown with a white stripe reminds me of a Hostess cupcake)
Rattums (this was a cute nickname I sometimes called my own rats)
Peanut (it's a cute name, especially if he likes peanuts.)
Skunk (I know, skunks have a stripe on their back, not tummy, but I thought it was funny. Hopefully, tho, the rat doesn't stink!)

Hiya, I have had rats for years, and rather than going on the appearance of the rats, I've gone for different names such as: FANG, FROG, THUNDER, DRAGON and DRAC.

pet rats are very socialble creatures they love company i would have a pair if i were you obviously the same sex hopefully a another one from the same litter would be better,
i use to keep them for years and also bred them for a local pet shop to be sold as pets
my first 2 rats were called bubble and squeak

My daughter has had a few rats...Buffy, Willow, Kandy, Twinkle and Cocoa (girls). Spike and Smokey Joe (boys). I had two rats a long time ago called Stan and Hilda ( Coronation Street)!!

Taddy
Rattus and Norvus came for the scientfic name for rat which is Rattus norvegicus
