I always liked "it ain't over till the fat lady sings". I sometimes say this when I have my back up against a wall and things seem hopeless. I also occasionally throw out "isn't just enough better than too much?" in reference to Lao Tzu's famous quote. I sometimes say this to myself when I think an area in my life is getting out of balance, like let's say, enjoying fine scotch.

A saying I use regularly is when today is complete sh...t either for myself or someone else...is tomorrow is a new day.
Another saying I use is when someone openly tries to take all the credit for something, which is
don't accept all the credit because you'll also have to take the blame when it goes ar..s ..e uppards.

I have several; the ones I use most commonly:
1. "clearly"
2. Speaking to others as if writing a letter.
3. "what if"
4. "remember when..."
Example. "Dear Vince, Remember when you parked in front of my car? Clearly I need to go. What if you went and moved it now? Thanks, The Management."

I'm the only adult I know who says "It's icky." I can't help it, some things are just plain icky and need to be pointed out as such.

Sometimes when I've said something I wish I hadn't said, I say, "Oh, did I say that out loud?"
