When I visit another country for vacation I run into alot of cultural differences and differences in personal rights but I respect the laws of that country because after all I am not a citizen of it, but when people come over here, especially from latin america or whatever it is called, all they do is complain and break our laws and try to live like they are back home. I think if they choose to live in our country, they need to adapt to our way of life or go back where they came from. If I moved to the middle east, as a woman, I would have to dress more modestly and I doubt they would make special rules for me to dress like I do in the US but it is another country so why can the people who come to the US respect our laws and live according to our rules?

I totally agree with you, when my ancestors was brought to the US, they had no choice but to adapt to the new ways of living. So now everybody else is trying to change the US into their country. Examples: Little China, Little Italy and so on, if they miss their country that much, why come here in the first place.

I hate to tell you this, But it's not only immigrants that complain, Some people who were born here and have family that settled here 200 years ago do nothing but complain. It's called free speech. It's a right given to every American citizen by a document you may have heard of. It's called the Constitution. I do however agree with you about breaking the law. And BTW, What do you mean "our way of life"? What exactly is "our" way of life? Ever hear the term The Great American Melting Pot? Anyone can come to this country and live their life anyway they want to, as long as they aren't breaking laws. That's what makes this country so great. I was born here and will live my life whatever way I want to, complain about what ever I feel like. It's not only my right, but my duty. The constitution gives me that right.

Maybe the Indians in this country should have made the Europeans and others coming to "their" country adapt to Indian ways.
By the way are you ready to wear a Burka? Do you even know what it is?
You think only people from Latin America break the laws of this country? Ever hear of the Russian mob? They're not in Russia, they are here.
SOME PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT CULTURES BREAK THE LAW HERE, NOT ALL OF THEM.

This country was founded by and built by immigrants. A unique American culture co-mingled and assimilated with one another. The immigration waves of the 1800's and early 1900's consisted of people from western and eastern Europeans and Asians. They formed enclaves in our cities which still survive today. But they assimilated through each generation. They learned english and adopted our customs, fought in our armed forces and became true Americans. Today's immigrants from Mexico, for instance, come here with a sense of entitlement. They want to convert California back to a Mexican territory. The stupid liberals in California are appeasing them. Soon, spanish will be the official language in California. Another example which I feel is the most dangerous, is the immigration of middle eastern muslims. They will never assimilate into our society. And, unlike the Mexicans, they bring a fanatical allegiance to a violent religion. Just last week in the mall, I heard teenage muslim boys, obviously born here, speaking to one anther about jihad and making fun of Americans. Where did they learn this? They are indoctrinated by their Imams. They learn that Americans are devils. They will never respect our laws or our culture. Their desire is for the whole country to be muslim. If we do not recognize this and react appropriately, our country as we know it is doomed.

It is because of their cultural differences.

In our culture here in the US we adapt to other people to make them feel more welcome or to blend in.

In other countries they have either national or racial pride and absolutely refuse to bow down to or change for anyone believing that they are superior to everyone else. So when they visit another country, they act like they are back home all the time.

But just as there are visitors we consider to be rude and obnoxious and wish they would go home, so the same thing can be said about many American visitors to other countries too.

It would be nice if everyone was polite and respected each other, wouldnt it? I look forward to that world coming about eventually...

I've noticed this among a large number of nationalities. There is a culture amongst the Latinos that this land we live in was stolen from them by the Americans. I've also noticed that people from across the pond come here and expect to have things handed to them, only to realize that they're going to have to work for it like anything else.

They complain because we are so kind-hearted and liberal in our policies. We tend to give others a chance and unfortunately, we are often taken advantage of.
-Many of those who complain also own their own businesses here in the US and are studying in some of the finest educational institutions. Oh, and the salaries aren't that bad here either!
-Many foreigners, though, are hard-working and manage to take advantage of the educational systems and job opportunities here.

Truth is, the US has fouled up the economy of they origin country, so they go to the north (talking about Latinos) for the money and nothing else, and they do good, as they should.

One persistent truth is that we really use only 10% of our brain - and that if we could use the remaining 90% we could each win a Nobel Prize or a gold medal at the Olympics, or even unleash our supposed psychic powers to find answers.
