First of all, one can't compare a under-grad course with a post-grad one. B.Tech Biotech is an under-grad, after which one can go for either M.Tech Biotech or MBA-Biotechnology depending upon one's interest. If one wants to go for research then he/ she can go for B.Tech and then M.Tech.
On the other hand, if one wants to go for office work or the managerial task then he/ she can go for MBA-Biotechnology. MBA-Biotech is a 2-year post-graduate programme in management. The course gives equal stress on Biotech part as well as on the Management discipline.
You can find more info. on MBA-Biotech, B.Tech Biotechnology courses and colleges as well as other Biotech courses on -

It depends on what you want to do. The B Tech will give you a hands on degree and you will be working in the lab doing front line development. The MBA is business administration and you will be stuck in the office responding to bureaucrats, legislators and stock holders with no actual involvement in the field.
You could combine both by getting the B Tech and working in the field to get experience and possibly develop a few patents, then go back to night school or correspondence and get the MBA so you can move out of the lab and into the office.
Good luck. It's a growing field.
