i need some kind of wood presever/ treatment i can use in and out of a rabbit hutch that will be safe for the rabbits

The only safe one to use is a water based type ( Fencelife ) but then only on the outside.

build the unit out of cedar or fir use an acrylic clear plastic base, to allow easy clean up. use a small roof pitched and install cedar shingles or fir as they will last along time. U will not need a wood presever while using these materials as they last for years.

tough question. I would call a rabbit breeder.
You can go to a local Home Depot etc.. and you will probably find protectants that say safe for animals...
But this means to come in contact with not eat and bunnies as you know chew...

If it were me Id call a rabbit club or breeder a they must have had to deal with this and can better tell you what works and what does not.

Hi. we put Crupinol on the outside and its just plain wood inside.

linseed oil is non toxic but will have to be renewed yearly
