I have an acoustic guitar and i don't like it color what kind of paint should i use to dye it ?

My mate tried the very same DIY respray job, with disastrous consequences. The dumb fu*ker used enamel based paints, which contain metal, hence he the acoustics were greatly compromised. DON'T make the same mistake!
I think you should pay the extra to get it professionally done, failing that should it be to costly, why not go online and have one made to the colour scheme of your choosing.

Paint will change the sound. Don't use something that goes on thick. A professional paint job would be best. But if you're going to risk a DIY job. Remove whatever is on there. Get a can of primer - used for spraying cars and give it a thin coat and then spray it with car paint in the colour you want - use the minimum - and if you're using a light colour - use a light primer. When spraying - buy the larger can - they usually have a better spray nozzle and you won't run out. Hold the can away so it hits the surface wet - it can sort of dry and look dull, if you hold the can too far away. Do the back first - then you mistakes will be less visible.
