It depends completely on whether it moved into the path of the other planet and then stayed there for long enough that the two collided. As it is, planets cross "into the paths" of other planets often, but they're so far away from each other it's irrelevant.

Well one planet would have to leave its own orbit in which to do this. It just doesn't all of a sudden happen. Something must push one planet from its orbit into another. If the planets do collide it would cause debris to scatter and perhaps affect our own oribit. Also the dust caused could block the sun, cause an Ice age, gravity would attract large planet masses and we'd all die if this occured within our galaxity. Lets just say you can't say for sure what would come about but nothing good would.
Im not an expert but from just basic science this is what i could think of. Try asking on SPACE.com

Pluto intersects Mercury's orbit. It was one of the reasons that it was demoted to dwarf planet. Let's hope they do not collide.

I'd love to see what would happen. Imagine Earth on a collision course with Jupiter. How cool would it be to see Jupiter that close-up. Doubt it will hapen in my life time though :o(
