AHH! so first off i just found out last nigth at like midnight that my Boyfriend's dad invited me to go to a wedding this evening. I have to be at his house and ready by 4 so im assuming it starts 5ish.

i dont even know who the wedding is for and most likely i will only do my boyfriend, his dad stepmom and two sisters.

Its 11:30 now and im not sure what to wear. my boyfriend suggested i wear this 2 inch above the knee flower ish skirt that has black trim around the top ( i wore it to my 8th grade g raduation) it is a dressy skirt, but today it is cold so i was thinking maybe leggings? is that too informal?

flipflops?

not wear teh skirt at all?

i need help.
please?
i also have never been to a wedding

Wear a knee-length dress that is not too formal.Your dress code should be semi-formal because you don't want to be too formal or casual. Go for a sweet dress that you can match with a few accessories and also a pair of nice heels too.Failing that you can wear flat shoes or pumps. Just dress your age then you should be okay.DO NOT wear leggings. You can wear a bolero/jacket if you have 1.That shud keep you warm. If ur wearing a skirt,a formal blouse is the best.If in doubt,go for black. Good luck!!

You can always just have your boyfriend pick out your clothes. That way you are wearing something you know he will love on you and you are his date. Do not wear flip-flops. Wear nice heels or flats, but NICE. That's the whole idea you need to go with. Dress like you're going to meet his grandmother (which you just might).
If you don't want to deal with the cold in a skirt, wear nice black dress pants with heels/flats. Any shirt should do, as long as it is, again, nice. Raid your mom's closet. Or just ask for her help, she'll probably have an idea of what to wear and can pull out some good shirts from both your closets.
Now, take a deep breath, hold it to the count of 3, exhale. Calm and nice, calm and nice. That is your mantra for the day. You're not going to know many people there, but they aren't going to know you either. You will be fine!

it depends what time the wedding is.

If its a day wedding (afternoon) then wear colors like yellow, pink, orange, "day" colors.

If its an evening wedding, where dark blue, dark purple, sophisticated colors like "evening colors"

and if its at night, wear a cute black dress.
I think leggings might be inappropiate for a wedding, and flipflops too, wear ballet flats with a skirt/dress instead.

Dont wear a white dress!! That is inappropiate because only the bride can wear a white dress.

wearing your school clothes won't make it look like you put thought into what you wore so I wouldn't-but if you absoulutly have to then go ahead.

But I would wear a plain black shirt (thats form fitting) and the flowerish skirt with the black trim, with black ballet flats & add a cute white/pink long necklace to balence all the black.

You probably should lose the flipflops and the leggings in favor of sheer stockings and "real" shoes. Just dress neatly - you won't be the center of attention anyhow - this is the bride's show.

I've been to many weddings and the guests show up in all manner of get-ups from over-dressed to under-dressed so it seems like anything goes these days. I'd suggest that you dress as if you were going to church - but - you wouldn't believe what they wear to church these days!!

its a wedding! YOU CANT WEAR FLIP FLOPS! im sorry but you just cant!

leggings are to informal.

do you have a long dress? wear it! its proably to late to go shopping , and why would you anyways...

um, you can wear the skirt but no leggings. if you are cold, then dont wear it.

any other skirts? find em and wear em!

Ask your friends and sisters/mom if they have anything you could borrow!

shoes should be high heels or something fancy looking that matches the outfit

-x-

shirts. with that skirt, a black shirt would look best. maybe a layer me with a cami underneath that matches the skirt
