It depends on what you plan to do, where you live, and other factors.
Learning another language helps you think about things differently, appreciate other cultures, and of course be able to communicate with them if you go there or they come here.
French is particularly helpful if you want to live in a francophone country, or work in a business that deals heavily with them. As the most complicated of the Romance languages, once you learn French, Spanish, Italian or the others will be easier to learn.
It's also a very beautiful language, perhaps the most so.

First, it is a very beautiful language. It also had a rather melodious flavor to it. It flows easily off the tongue. And once you learn it, you will not forget it. France itself is a beautiful country -- We can still see old villages which predominate in landscapes There are many old trails that lead from village to village The architectural details of French buildings are breathtaking. And their restaurants and hotels are magnificent. If nothing more, learning French just to be able to VISIT France and speak the language without struggle, is something to look forward to.
On the practical side, it is always good to learn another language besides English, and of course Spanish which is already taught in many schools.Perhaps one day you may wish to become a translator, or perhaps one day you will be a statesman or politician or other high echelon member of society! Knowing French will always be a plus no matter where you go or who you meet.

it is very similar in form and grammar to both spanish and italian. once you speak one of these reasonably well, you should be able to at least get ideas across to the other two. this would prove very beneficial if you went abroad to europe, parts of canada, or the latin american countries.
