Yes, bananas are the best together with some fresh juices. If bananas aren't enough, have another fruit to go along or a very light sandwich.

Something light, not heavy (the replyer before was trying to fool you with his false answer!!).

Not anything warm like eggs, potatoes or such things, instead something like Wasa Bread, or thin wheat crackers (I am not sure wether you get that in the UK). You should take a meal that gives you enough nutrition, minerals, vitamins, and you must not be hungry (of course), but at the same time you should not be full either.

Maybe cornflakes would do? Add some yogurt to the milk with your flakes, I like that, and it will not fill you up very much.

My boyfriend is a soccer player and he tries to eat anything that is not going to be to hard to digest! Dont overdo it before you play..eat a lite but nutritious meal!

eat bananas and chocolates.. drink some milk.. or maybe cheese and bread.. they are all pack with carbs and protein.. don't take anything that is hard to digest or may lead you to extra toilet visits...

a huge turkey, lots of potatoes, rice, and some dessert after you're done, not to mention a lot of milk and soda. This will definitely help you stay fit in soccer!!
