Most newer cases are tool-less and there should be a latch or a button that allows you to remove the panel on the side of the tower. Once you have that off, find whatever attaches the current DVD drive--it'll be slid into a rack and secured by either a couple screws or by plastic clips.

Remove the small white connector (power) and the flat, wide ribbon (IDE to motherboard). They just slide out of the back of the drive.

Remove screws or pinch clips and slide the current drive out. If the old drive had clips, you'll need to remove them from the old drive and screw them onto the new drive. Slide new drive in and clip/screw in.

One more note: You'll have to make sure that the jumper is set right. If you have just that one drive, then it is the master, if there are two drives then you'll have to figure out if the old drive was set to either master or slave and set the new drive to whatever it was. You'll probably need to read the manual for this.

you need to take the side panels off of your case, The bay in the front of the case that you want your dvd burner should have a piece in it that you can pop out to open up the slot.

Slip the new dvd burner into that slot from the front of your case. insert the screws on the inside of the case on the sides of the dvd player. The holes should hopefully line up. Find an unused 4-pin connector from your power supply and plug it into the back of the dvd burner. The cable that runs from your motherboard to your regular cd-rom should have a connector in the middle of it. It should be labelled as slave. You need to put this middle connector into your cd burner. Don't put your side panels back on just yet in case you need to adjust anything. Start up your computer and put your CD burner software disc and install it.
