I've enjoyed 86 controlled full contact tournament fights to date, and never lost one. Drawn a few though. And I really am thinking now about standing down undefeated. I reckon it's past time for me to bow out before I get carried out :oP
I've also fought for money outside the controlled circuit before. And not for the money either; just for the joy of fighting.
I served getting on for ten years in youth detention/prison when I was younger for numerous crimes of quite serious violence, including a charge of attempted murder. Note, though, that it was honestly not an attempt to kill - it was just a fight that came perilously close to resulting in the death of the other fella. As luck would have it, he survived.
In those days I was a fully paid up skinhead - a member of the NF and a racially motivated little neo-nazi queer bashing, mugger and robber.
Not nice.
Not nice at all.
So yes.
It's fair to say I've had a fight before.
I am deeply, deeply ashamed of the harm I did to people outside the ring in those times. And of my motives. But what is done is done, and I can change nothing. And I'm done beating myself up for it all.
Best I can do these days is try to be a better fella.
Though STILL the demons clamour to be let out whenever somebody so much as looks at me the wrong way.
Quite a curse, eh?
