Yes you can. Just make sure you tell them at each appointment
you are pregnant. There are only a few freezing meds
they can use.

Absolutely you can! But always remember to let your dentist know you are pregnant and how far a long, and let your doctor know. Most obgyns like their patients to get the work done, because it is ten times more stressful to walk around pregnant and have a tooth ache, then to just have it taken care of! I have had two root canals during my pregnancy, they used a local, not Novocaine, but a agent that is related to it. And the only pain killer I could take was Tylenol. And I won't lie, it was sore for about a week longer than it would have been if I wasn't pregnant, but it felt a lot better to get it taken care of! Also remember with all x-rays, they need to use two lead blankets on you, and the chair should never be placed all the way back, you should always be sitting at an angle. This is because your placenta lays back on the umbilical cord and cuts the oxygen and blood flow if you are laying flat on your back. Also, you might want to postpone any dental work, other than a cleaning, for after your first trimester, most dental offices prefer this anyway....Good luck! :)

Yup. Typically if you're just having cavities filled, they shoot you up with novocain or a "relative" of it and it's only a local anesthetic (it's intended to and stays in one place only). It doesn't go into your blood stream so it won't affect your baby. Now if you're having maxofilliosurgery done (implanted wisdom teeth surgically removed, that kind of thing) then they can put you under, but they don't have to, there are other forms of anesthetic. Ask your dentist or surgeon about forms of pain relief and anesthesia that are safe for pregnant women and they'll be sure to give you what they can, or postpone your "work" until after your pregnancy. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed when pregnant and got a prescription of Vicodin afterward. But...that was 10 years ago, I'm sure things have changed since then. Hope that helps! Good luck!

As far as I know, yes. I had to have some dental work done while I was pregnant. Be sure to tell them you are pregnant and they will decide, depending on the proceedure, if it's okay or not. They try to stay away from doing xrays so as not to affect the baby.
Hope this helps a little bit.

It really depends on the dentist. However, I had my teeth cleaned and a cavity filled when I was eight months pregnant. The dentist used two of those shield things over my belly when he took the x-rays. I didn't have any problems and my kid is 10 now.

Yes, you can, and i already had stuff done to my teeth while i was pregnant, and still am now, 6months today.

You cant be put to sleep, local instead, and some surgeries, like pulling wisdom teeth out, they would rather you be farther along than 3 months to do it.

But feel free to do whatever unless your dentist knows about your pregnancy and suggests otherwise.

Depending on what needs to be done, Yes! You should let them know you are pregnant, and avoid unneccessary xrays, or anesthesia! Most cleaning, exams, and minor work are okay!
