Are you in school? What kind of job do you have? Having more than one language is great on resumes, especially in fields that require working with a lot of different people. Also depending on where you live if that language is prevalent. I live in Louisiana and french is a great language to know. I can speak to elderly and they love being able to speak French because it brings them to their younger days. I know if I was an employer I would be more likely to hire someone that knew +languages. This might not help much but I think it's great!

French is not only spoken in Canada and France, but in many areas of the Carribean and Africa as well. French is especially helpful if you wanna work in the State Department, an NGO, or the Peace Corps. In any of those cases, you'll probably be working in Africa.

You will be able to speak the French language when you visit France and parts of Northern Canada. Good Luck! :)

well...there are a lot of advantages..
first..when you go to france..you can easily speak french..
second..if you have a pen pal from french you can write with her/him in french to improve ur french..
well..it;s up to u if you want to learn it or not..

Isn't any advatage at all, unless your going to Paris for vacation and you don't want French folks to be rude to you.

Even if you don't use it in everyday life, you will expand your brain's capacity for learning. There is nothing that isn't worth learning... well, except the Bible.
