it depends on a lot of things, 250cc 2 strokes race with 450cc four strokes. but generally a four stroke 450 will have more of a low to mid range powerband, while the 2 strokes have a powerband higher in the rpm range. different pipes, bikes, track conditions and gearing make a huge difference as well. usually on factory backed bikes the bike is tuned for each track so that the power is where it is needed in the rpm range.

It used to be a pretty big difference, but nowadays the engines have become a lot closer in numbers. A 4 stroke will usually have more torque in the lower rpm than a 2 stroke. 2 strokes accelerate really fast and operate better at high rpm than a 4 stroke. Modern technology has closed that gap quite a bit. To me 2 strokes are for race time, 4 strokes are for play time.

Answered that one your self. Of course the 4 stroke is going to have a bigger bottom end torque curve than the 2 stoke. Now a days with these new bikes like the yzf 450. It does circles around its smaller brother on top and bottom.

Depends on the engine(s) in question.

Most of the modern RFS (Racing Four Stroke) engines produce their power high in the rpm range and produce very little torque (comparatively speaking) down low.

The KTM 300 2 stroke engine is very 'four stroke' like in the way it produces power. It'll pull down to very low rpm's and still make usable power, but it signs off kinda early and requires an up shift to keep making power.
