Brilliant...It has one of the most reliable operating systems running on it, the specs are pretty good and the battery life is incredible!

Mac's in general rock. And now with the Intel chips being used instead of the powerPC chipsets, it is even better.

I have been a mac fan for years, and I am writing this on a Mac Powerbook. The difference between the MacBook and the Powerbook is not that much in real terms, and I think you geta bump up in performance with the powerbook. I have looked at the macbook in the past, but always opted for the powerbook.

I think the Macbook is a good laptop, but I guess my suggestion would be that if your budget can stretch to a powerbook, that would be the way forward.

Have fun with whatever you opt for.

The MacBook would be an excellent choice. Right now, I have an Intel Mac Mini, which is very similar to the MacBook in it's hardware configuration. Even the integrated graphics are pretty good.

I hate my macbook Intel duo core. I am actually selling it because it runs really hot and is noisy. Apple has known issues with the macbook pro. Not sure if they fixed it on the newer ones.

This is just my opinion, I have many friends that love the macbook pro. I think a big factor in making an decision on purchasing a macbook pro is what are you going to use the laptop for? What software?

Here is one link about the heating issue:
